New Beginnings and Stuff
Hello Friends and Family~
It is my pleasure to let you know that as of February 1, 2009 I will be working at Roxy Salon & Day Spa in San Luis Obispo as an Esthetician. For those of you semi-out of the loop, I graduated Palomar Institute of Cosmetology in November just before my return to the Central Coast and passed my State Licensing Board exam in November as well and have been looking for a salon or day spa to join ever since.
This will be very exciting for me and I’ll need your help to acquire a good clientele base. If I know you – you have to come in and tell your friends to come in!! I’ll be doing facials using the Murad Skin Care Line, and Face and Body Waxing Monday/Tuesday/Saturdays I’ll send out more information on hours but I’ll be there 9am ish til 7 or 8pm ish (because I want to) and I’ll take earlier clients in the morning and later in the evening if it better suits them, or you for that matter. And I’ll send out a menu with the services and prices listed when it is finished.
Getting started in a new career path is always hard. Most, if not all, of you know that acting is my true passion. It still is number one, and skin care is number two – so I’m still a happy camper! I do plan on getting back into the community with theatre more and perhaps auditioning for PCPA this summer.
Start up costs for me are a little rough, so send good vibes that all will workout for me and I’ll see you at Roxy in SLO!

good for you! I know how you feel about having to pay for life and then following your first passion! I’m glad to hear you found a day job!
Also I’m jealous, I am touring but it also prohibits me from auditioning for anything until after the fact. I know I will be free this summer but I don’t know when I could audition for PCPA (not that they ever cast me) but I digress…congrats!
I’m not in SLO anymore, but when you get your menu done, I’ll send it around to people I know there.
